Ivy is a unique filly to have in the barn. She is a calm and composed filly, happy to take on any situation thrown her way. Whether turned out in a group or stabled alone, worked out often or given a long break, Ivy is as easygoing as can be. Having a horse who takes change with such ease is a blessing when working on the track, but Ivy is not without her downfalls. As well as she deals with different situations, she has difficulty focusing on one thing at a time, which can lead to her getting flustered and nervous. Being groomed and tacked is just fine with her, until you surround her with people and horses - that is too much stimulation for this mare, who will essentially shut down until she feels safe. With a comforting handler and a pile of hay, Ivy can be easily calmed down.

On an especially busy day at the track, Ivy can get flustered and nervous quite easily. Large fields are not her favorite, but her calm jockey is quite skilled and keeping the mare focused and confident. Ivy is typically easy to load into the gate, and doesn't at all rely on her track pony. She's only okay when she breaks - but going unnoticed early on in the race isn't always a bad thing. Ivy tends to hang just behind the pace, waiting for the perfect moment to slip into the lead unnoticed and sneak in a win.
